Been Around the Block
Hi, Eric here from Burlington, VT. I wanted to get more involved both with my bike project and the community as well. So here I am and also a pic of my project!

P.S. thanks for the photo tutorial, it was helpful.

Welcome Eric, good to see someone else from the 802. Took me awhile to get the pics down but then I'm slow. Was the bike a "barn find"? Good luck

Kool bike man there is a pile of honda twins on the board every thing you need to know is a question away take advantage of it

Here is a little info on the bike/s.

A little over a year ago I purchased a Honda CB200T from a farmers field down in the green mountain state forest for 50$. It had a stuck motor and was reaaaaaaaly rusty. I tore it to pieces in the idea of building it back up as a street legal cafe bike. I unstuck the motor in my initial push to get a bike running, but I stalled before rebuilding it because i needed some welding done to the frame before it gets painted. The wheels were quite pitted and the mufflers were toast.... and all i had was a couple 5 gallon pails of parts, a motor and a frame...

Fast forward to today

My interest in getting a bike together is piqued again last week when on a trip to NH I picked up a Honda CL200 for 200$ to fill in my missing pieces namely the wheels and a muffler. Now I have twice the parts and am hoping to get a complete bike together by the end of July. The CL200 is a bit scabbed with a CB200 motor a CL175 muffler, a 1971 CB175K tank and a CL200 frame and looks like it was crashed. So whatever I end with will be quite the frankenbike.
The picture is of the CL200 I purchased a week ago. The CB200 will be revealed with the parts that I gank from it....

Cheers,
Eric

Also, in which forum should I post my bike project? It seems like big arse projects seems like the proper fit as the bike is a complete rebuild, but I feel a little outclassed by the results of some of the threads i've seen there...
