Ya, I got rid of the big factory gauges. There is a mini speedo hiding up there, you just can't really see it in that picture. Just made a quick and dirty bracket for it out of a street sign that I came across awhile back (long story...) But to be honest, I hardly ever use it. It's easy enough for me to judge speed & RPMs while I'm riding, I've just left it because it looks nice
.
No fender as of now, I was riding without it to see how I liked it. I can tell you this, if you live on or ride on any roads with a lot of gravel and whatnot that kicks up and you don't plan on running a front fender... Invest in a full face helmet or a shield for your 3/4. I've eaten a few rocks. Also not very fun in anything wet, sprays dirty water everywhere. I've also noticed a bit of uncomfortable flex in the front when I'm pushing the bike. It could definitely use some sort of brace up there now that the fender is gone. Truthfully, I think I'll end up putting mine back on, or making something a little bit more low-profile.
The pipes came with the bike. Not sure who made them, they use the factory header pipes and then just go 2-1 on either side like you said. They're practically straight pipes with a small baffle at the end, They sound pretty mean.
I bought the clubmans originally, but after riding around a bit I decided I wanted something a bit more comfortable seeing as I don't have rearsets, so I went with the drag bars you see in the picture.
The seat was glassed & upholstered by hand by a member here. The leather it's wrapped with started its life as a leather jacket (well it started it's life as a cow but you know what I mean) It's nice and weathered, exactly the look I was going for. It's really not comfortable at all, there's no padding aside from the jacket itself... I may cut some stick on seat foam to fit and stick it on at least the "ass" portion of the seat.
The rear shocks are factory stock off a CB750. I Think they're around 14 inches? I'm a bigger guy, 6'1" and around 215lbs, I wanted something a bit more substantial than the OEM CB350 shocks to hold me.
Sounds like you have a pretty good idea of how you want yours to turn out, I'll certainly be watching your build thread when you start it! Enjoy the build process, because once you finish you're going to miss it and probably want to start another bike ;D
