Exhaust headers-where to buy, compatibility?

Two questions for you folks out there. Are there any aftermarket/reproduction exhaust pipes/systems for a 1973 CB175? Would other model CB header pipes fit on the 175, for example a CB350's pipes? Looking for options for my build. My OEM headers are heavily rusted and pitted.

The 350 pipes would not work on a 175. I don't know much about the 175 models.
i own a cb 360 and all together there where 3 models cb360 cl360 and the cj360 they all run the same head so i can run pipes from these three models. if your cb 175 had a brother like a cl, or a cj 175 then you can run those pipes.
YOU can keep the headers to your bike and bolt up aftermarket pipes, Dime city cycles has a good selection on pipes. People dont really bother on recreating parts for these old bikes since theres no high demand for them. Good luck!!

Ya, you are pretty much limited to the 175's: CB, CL, and SL. 350 headers are a bigger diameter (and other reasons) and the CB160's are all sloper motors so they are out too. Im not sure about the CB200's, but somebody around here would know.

Could go full custom - use your flanges and the first couple inches of the original headers. Add some piping and some welds and you're set!

73 is the later so called vertical or upright motor. They are very different in the exhaust port angles than the earlier "slopers". Your choices are stock, SL175, CL175 or maybe CB200.

The other choice is to make them yourself from pre-bent tubes. We made one set with 2 into 1 collector from parts of a 400 bandit exhaust plus some pipe from MIDAS bent the way we wanted it. Used a couple of bent spokes for the spring ends and brackets cut off the frame for exhaust mounts. Then walked around a dealer's showroom until we found a CR125 rubber mount we liked and now have a custom made rubber mounted exhaust.

My cb 175 has cl200 headers on it, they fit fine.

I now this is old but I thought I would post an update. I have found some decent 175 headers that I decided to scuff, clean and paint with a high temp exhaust paint. I'll then fit up some nice pipes from DCC.

Nice! A little late to the party, but another option for old pitted headers is exhaust wrap. Lookin good!
