Exhaust Pipe Crack

Hello, So I'm removing my exhaust pipes to sandblast the rust off of them and noticed a thin crack that circumvents the entire pipe. I ran the bike to see if the crack is big enough to let exhaust out and it is, I seem exhaust seeping out through the crack. Would it be safe to weld this or should I just invest in a new pipe...?
