So I recently got a 1978 CB750K, and the exhaust the guy gave me with it is a 4-1 that is designed for the 1970 model.
This is an example of the inlet to the header that goes into the exhaust port.
This is the flange that goes over the header to clamp onto the engine (1970 version).
Now this is the version that fits my bike
its a little tough to see exactly how they look, but essentially theres just a straight and level pipe that leads to a ridge that will meet the block. This is the flange and sleeve style that I was given that fits the block and the headers in this last picture
The older style headers, the ones that were given to me, still fit in the exhaust port and meet squarely with the block, I just dont know how to get them to sit tightly and bolt up to the engine without leaving any gaps. Anyone have a clue as to how I could make some bracket or sleeve that could get this thing to fit properly? I'm at a loss here and don't want to shell out an unnecessary 200-300 for some headers
