"Fast with a past"
DTT BOTM WINNER
Hey guys,

My shop is in a big warehouse the front part of which is occupied by a small group of indie film makers. So I got this bright idea to make a build show. Now I have to say that I actually came up with the idea before I ever heard of Cafe racer and when I did hear about it it took the wind out of my sails. Then I saw Cafe Racer and decided that there was still room for a build show. So, over last summer we shot some footage and made a little teaser to present the idea to people. This teaser is being pitched around to see if we can get some dough behind it. Our idea is to keep it gritty and real. It will probably live on the web if produced. I didn't get all the footage I wanted so there are a lot of gaps in the build process here but you'll get the idea.

Let me know what you think. your input could be very valuable should we actually start producing episodes.

Fast With A Past

Looking pretty good so far. I'd watch it. and since we don't get cafe racer up here in Canada I could use the fix.

I hope it takes off as well,

no offence to the boys who did cafe racer, but this beats it hands down

i would definitely watch it.

I work in audio and video production and I give your spot a BIG thumbs up. I really hope this goes somewhere. Even if it's just a web series or video blog. The production is pro, the content is great. Just watching you guys reminds me of what me and my partners do all the time as well. Seriously, those Craigslist excursions are a constant around here. Good luck. If you need any production (or mechanic) help, let me know. If you start posting regular spots drop me a line and I'll promote it on our weekly podcast.

With only seeing what bits of 'cafe racer' that made it onto the web, would be well keen to see it take off, AND be on the web.

good luck !!!

All the feedback has been great and is truly appreciated! dj, no problem, I will spend some time catching up on your blog soon. You guys are doing those new Chinese built bikes designed by you all, correct?

I think I have the ears pricked up of the guy who can make this happen for us so please keep sending it to your friends and reposting it all over the place!!

No, we didn't design any Chinese bikes. We are selling for Cleveland Cycle Werks though (http://www.clevelandcyclewerks.com/). Is that what you mean?

Yeah, i think thats it. bikes are designed here and built in China? Not meaning any offense, I understand the quality is great and it keeps the price down. I was very interested and if they hit i'd be interested in selling them here in Portland.

No offense taken. The bikes are nicely designed and the production process is closely managed so I'm told. I can get the owners info for you. We've already sold a few of the Heist. Should have the Misfit soon.

Actually, just go to their website and you can inquire there. I guess they work through PIT Motors, LTD for distribution.
