thank you and yes we will continue the stripe ...we still have some fender mods we may paint and stripe. My son is gonna shake and bake the seat pan all by himself...presently we are working on all the frame mods

Does anyone know if this is the correct ratio for the cb200 speedo and tach?
1. speedo - taped cable end and rotated front wheel. 2 rotations at the cable end to 1 rotation of the front wheel. 2:1
2. tacho - 7 rotation of the engine at the fly wheel to 1 rotation at the tacho cable end. 7:1
 
yes on the speedo, not sure on the tach, but sounds about right. As for those holes, you need to clear it of paint, fill it with braze or whatever you have, then use body filler over the end and paint. Thats exactly how I did it, works great.

My sons toy box is now his work bench we are getting ready for our motor rebuild. Now we are going to recycle and old steel fence into an engine stand. His tool box belonged to his great grand dad.

Who says dudes cant multitask. While we are making some new benches we are removing old gaskets...Patience is a virtue. We are using Aircraft stripper (which has the same ingredients as gasket stripper.) We are using a rubber scraper and non scratch 3m pot scrubbers.

Nice. The move on the headlight looks much better, after a fender and guages go on it should blend much better. Keep up the great work.

lol that is a very good question you tell me...this was the second time he had it on the granite table. We walked in the door Steve put it on the table to check if it was true and started at it? I haven't been able to find the head thickness? Do you know and how I can check how much was removed?

So if my original cylinders were 198cc and we bored .75 over an we figure the volume of the current cylinder subtract that from the bored volume it should give us how much we milled...I am married to a geometry teacher...I'll ask her lol Iam the artsy farty and she is the math and science

well where did you mill it off? Did you take it from the deck height of the cylinders? Or did you mill it off the head? I had my head milled. All in all, the head was milled down by the thickness of my gasket. I didn't want to push the envelope to much. However, you probably won't be able to kick start it or electric start it. I can only push start my bike now that I am running about 210psi in each cylinder.
 
Also, In order to determine that, more things need to be taken into account. The cc's volume is very much dependent on your piston dome and the dome of your head. So you need to know the diameter of the bore, stroke of the piston length, and displacement of the dome. Or the volume of your dome. From that, you should be able to determine your cc's and your compression ratio.

Check everything 3 times and if it doesn't move like its supposed too, don't force it ;D I have only done a top end a couple times and never any performance mods, so there are better folks on here to help in that area.
