Hi Tex,
As far as a front fender mount, I've also used large diameter aerospace cushion / "P" / Adel (name brand) / MS21919 clamps.
Really look the business and work great. I've got them all over the baby tracker - fender mounts, coil mount, headlight mount, etc etc etc.
I shoulda tried to get sponsorship from Aircraft Spruce LOL. Check out their catalogue or your local aircraft supply house.

thanks for the tip pat we met the largest WWII airplane parts supplier (that just happens to be a few
blocks from my office) because of it! We are gonna try the yellow

Or is it the Roly Freed (sp?) Vincent riding position?

i love names especially Roland (Rollie) Free. Zeke keeps me in stitches with his constant impromptu impulses...he is a sponge and is absorbing it all...

Question concerning dampening. We had our harmonic dampener separate on our 06 Odyssey this weekend. Was showing Zeke how honda engineered it. However it still failed after 140k. Our Honda has vcm (variable cylinder management).

This got me to thinking about dampening on Lucky. After installing the Adele P clamps I was wondering if they would aid in dampening the vibration in the front end and what are all the issues that cause a high speed wobble? Also thinking about it how foolish it was to run without a fork brace even though we had a steering stabilizer. Do you think the carbon fiber fender is enough of a fork brace and do you think the Adele clamps will aid in dampening side to side forces?

You have been thinking again. Didn't we already have that little talk. :)

Steering damper will help to calm or eradicate front end oscillations. A fork brace also does that to an extent by making the front end more rigid, but what it really does is to prevent front fork twisting - so that improves cornering.

For a straight line LSR, a damper is a must. Fork brace is a good idea but less important in a straight line than in the twisties or when braking.

Could you make one out of aluminum? I'm sure if the front fender feels tight, it's definitely doing something. After seeing teazer letting everyone know a fender brace is a must, I'm definitely running one.... Maybe not for pictures though...

If you have not done so..
Check out the movie, "why we ride"

Tex / Zeke,
You might have mentioned this about 500 posts ago, but what sanctioning organization(s) are you going to run the bike with and what classe(es) are you going to compete in?
And not to be a complete dink about it, but have you read the rulebook(s) as it pertains to that (those) class(es)?
Super amount of effort, love the results, those little Hondas can really rabbit when done right and yours certainly looks to be...
