What kind of a helmet are you looking for? ... Vintage 3/4 or /2 helmet? Vintage full face? a new modern full face ie Icon?, New retro looking helmet?...Lets start there...

For helmets you can try Parker Brothers (West End) and Motorcycle Superstore (Cycle World East location - McCowan/Sheppard) among others. Focus on finding the make/model/color/size you want and then call around for the best deal.

Hmmm, maybe I should have started a "What's your favorite helmet?" thread. But safety is important so I'm looking with something with snell / dot rating, a vintage / retro look, full face, and Chrome would be super cool.

Here's my $0.02 on helmets. If you have kids, wear a full face DOT/Snell certified modern helmet. When (not if) you fall and get laid up or worse, your insurance company either through work or whatever won't give a second look to your claim if you're found to be wearing a questionable helmet.

If I bite it on my bike, I need to know my mortgage insurance will kick in to cover the remaining amount owing to the bank and my life insurance through my work will pay a few years of my salary on top of that. Insurance companies will do EVERYTHING in their power to not pay out on a claim.
