fiberglass help need

Been Around the Block
I am a Lowes now and I am looking for some suggestions. What I have is a 2 inch led brake light that I want to flush mount into my fiberglass pan, should I buy a hole saw to complete this. I am scared crapless right now. Lossa has a 125 that I saw in this months CafeRacer mag. I would like to achieve this

Describe in more detail please :)
Do you want the brake light permanently fixed to the pan or whatever your making it flushed to?
I presume your brake light is round in shape, so getting a hole saw the right size would probably be a step forward. How are you mounting it though?

Yeah, some more details and pics would help.

But heres how I would do it. Find a piece of cardboard tube that your light housing fits into. Buy a hole saw that size. Figure out where you want it to go. Drill your big hole. Cut a piece of your cardboard tube the appropriate length. Prepare the inside surface of the seat pan with some 80 grit. That will give the new resin some bite. Use a few drops of super glue and tack the tube to the inside of your seat hump. Cut a round piece of card board and cap off the back side of the tube. Go to your local AdvanceZoneBoys and buy a fiber glass repair kit. Follow the instructions and apply fiberglass mat all over the cardboard, and blend it onto your seat base, two layers at least. let it dry, clean up. drill holes for your wires to exit the new cup you've created and holes to mount the light.

Hopefully, the bezel on the light will cover the seam on the outside.

same advice as Speedfiend but go a little larger on the tube and "french" the light into the pocket that way the bezel is mounted flat to the back of the tube end and the area where the tube is cut to match the contour of the tail is just built up with glass, the resin sanded smooth and it will look pro. Google the use of "frenched" antenna's and tail lights on custom cars as a guide to what I'm talking about. Pictures say a thousand words.

You can draw the circle you want and where you want it on your pan then drill all around it with a small drill bit untill your hole falls out. After that you can file/ sand your hole perfectley round. No hole saw needed.

Then make a bracket to hold your light from the inside.

Brilliant! I bought the whole saw anyhow. I had the thought of drilling a pilot hole and cutting the hole with a jig saw.I have been trying to post pics on here from my phone, but can't get the file size right. I had the same probs with the home pc , got rid of the pc and now I just have phone. I gotta figure this out! Sorry fellas!
