well, i am a little nervous about cutting off all the stock seat metal for the fiberglass seat build. My problem is that when/if i complete this seat to mount on frame rails that the stock airbox intake boot will be buried to much and effectively "air starve" my carbs. Obviously pods seems like the simple solution and look way badass but i dont want to open a whole new can of worms with jetting and such. I forsee a battle i can't win in that department. I guess i would like to know if anyone else has fitted a cafe seat and kept the stock airbox? if so, did you make a relief tunnel down the middle? how high? i dont want to go to high right down the middle......i got my boys down there to think about and there is very little foam planned in the project! lol any recommendations would be helpful.
