got fingerprints on my stripped tank i am told they will show through when i prime i need to know what kind of wash to use to clean the tank. any help will be greatly appreciated
There are various wipe down cleaners available from regular paint stores but on bare metal you can use fast dry enamel thinner such as Dupont 3812s which maynot be available anymore or a good lacquer thinner. When you get to any advanced stage of painting, wash your hands with soap and use the disposable blue latex gloves. Don't let anybody touch it like you are in an operating room.
right on thanks, just hammered my knee dents, was thinking of tryin some lacquer i probably try that and the alcohol see what work best, getting ready to prime and sand my tank then fill and sand some more!!!
