first build 75 cl360

Oh the joys of wiring. Planning to at least try and fire her up tomorrow. This morning I didn't care to much for the RFID ignition but now I think its pretty damn cool.

Time to rinse the tank. I made a tank cleaner outer so I don't have to rattle the tank around for an hour trying to get the last nut out.

This right here is fucking genius. I love it when somebody does something that I look at and think "Wow. How the fuck did I not think of this."

I'm glad you like the idea Rich Ard. Welding for 10 hours straight 5 sometimes 6 days a week gives a guy lots of time to think. There was a hiccup with the wiring harness but should have the solution early this week. Thankfully salmon and trout are moving in to shallows to keep me occupied in the meantime. I went to the Jefferson car show and swap meet in Wi today and scored these shorties for $30.

Wow between buying an incomplete wiring harness with no accurate wiring diagragm and no wires labeled and a year waiting for my carbs to be rebuilt which never even happened I've learned to not trust anyone lol. I'm just glad he sealed the float bowls with kitchen caulk, lmao. With that being said my fellow newbies be very careful. Had to let that out progress pics coming soon and it will be done by spring:)

Loved this. Very inventive.

I did send my carbs to you crazypj. Why kitchen caulk?

You did?
Sorry, I forget stuff.
They working OK or didn't you fit them?
Kitchen caulk?

Pipes are too short to work properly, couple of cheap mufflers and it will run much better
Something like this
http://www.dimecitycycles.com/vintage-cafe-racer-caferacer-bobber-brat-chopper-custom-motorcycle-exhaust-parts-12-inch-shorty-muffler-80-03310.html although I would mount them 'mid-pipe' with exhaust tube around rear shock (tucks in better)

I built and welded in my own baffles. Tried to upload a video of her running but no go.

It's a length issue. Your pipes are shorter than a 360 usually likes. You'll be losing power AND you'll need to jet up.

I have a new set of Shorty's and cocktail mufflers but neither works as the diameter is too big and they hit each other or the shock or both. I'm gonna give what i got a try

Like I said, fit the mufflers further forward (cut pipes shorter if necessary) then extend the back end past the shocks.
Would look a bit like the bombs' they fit on four stroke MX bikes
It will work much better than any sort of restriction fitted inside a small diameter stock headpipe
Modified carbs and exhaust on 'stock motor' should do at least 105mph

Thanks crazypj for all your help. Sorry for any harsh words along the way sometimes I think I know everything lol. The bike is running beautifully with no changes to your carburetor handy work. ;)

That's fine, sometimes I get even worse in threads, particularly when I've only had 4 hrs sleep for a few days ;D

Lets get real here PJ your just one of those old, uppity, snarling English sort of Gentleman.

We know the type, every red blooded American here grew up watching Alistair Sim on Christmas eve.
(one of the greatest actors of all time, by the way)
