TORONTO'S MOST WANTED
well ,these cheezedicks decided to rip off my buddy.
bought his first bike an 83 650 honda.
fork seals and stearing head bearing,750 bones, didnt think that was right so i askd around and guys r sayin that fuckin ludicris for that.
called around and themost i got quoted wa 475 labour and parts(cyclewerx)tom is awsome.
my slow buddy decided to sign the werk order b4the werk was done, called this morn to tell em not to do the work (after i askd if they started anything and he said no)suddenly the front forks are already off and buddy is bein stiffed almost 8 bills.
anyways they were kinda rude on the phone and thrreatend not to release the bike unless he pays in full, work order complete or not.
rip off artists at first cycle n sports.

Sounds like you bud launched his canoe up the creek by signing the work order... tell him to try to negotiate picking up the bike as is and pay one or two hours labour for the dissasembly...

And not to be mean but if he's going to buy a 24 year old bike he better start wrenching himself.... neither the bearings or the seals are tough jobs... just time instensive in dissasembly and reassembly of everything ON the bars and bucket that usually need to be removed to do this job.

cheers on the advise,i tried tellin him the same thing.
hes a i/t manager who kinda dosnt really have a clue when it comes to bike stuff.
bike was actually in surprising shape, considering age.shaft driven which i didnt dig on too much ,but mine has a chain so im happy.
not burnin oil, breaks were good, clutch seemed fine, the stearing head bearing was hardly noticable until u sat there trying to feel it.ahhhwell , they seen him comin a mile away and took advantage of it i guess. what can u do when u live in a shoe?? move to a boot and get laced!!!!!
