First Project Opinions

Hows it DTT
I've been wrestling for the past few months with the idea of starting a project bike but keep talking myself out of it because I don't have anywhere to do the actual "wrenching." I live in an apartment and have been doing the regular maintenance on my daily rider in my allotted parking space which has been fine since these are relatively quick/easy jobs. If I bought a project I don't feel this is sufficient for a complete teardown and rebuild.
So this is really just crowdsourcing opinions for all you builders here; could a simple parking space work? Should I wait until I have a garage? Any other solutions?
Thanks in advance

I live in NYC and I had to rent a garage to get my work done. Working in a parking spot at a suburb type apartment might not be ideal but do what you can and keep a tarp over the bike at night as you work on it.

It can be done, but it won't be easy. I'm doing work on mine in a parking spot, but I'm not doing a full tear down or anything like that. I have seen a couple guys on here do it though. Are you planning on having a daily and a project?

Yea I have a little 360 that I've been commuting with and now I want to bob something. Once thats done I would turn to the 360 and cafe it. Basically I want to work on bikes without giving up the opportunity to go riding ;D

Pretty much everyone I know who works on bikes has at least two. One project and one bike they don't mess with because they want to keep riding. Just accept this and buy a new bike. ;D

Yea it's almost a must to have at least 2 bikes. One daily driver that you do minimal work to and then a project. If you have little to no work space I'd def spend a little more money and get a bike you can drive. Make small projects, like changing brake pads, tires swap, caliper rebuild, stuff you can typically do in 2 to 4 hours. A total rebuild of a bike, with a garage, and some time, typically takes a long time.

Thanks everyone ;D ;D I'm not sure why but I assumed most people who built bikes used a car during the build (stupid considering what the basis of these forums is haha)
