I love to see the future result through my work.

Concerning the rear end is there any "rules" to cut it ? I mean how to know how much to cut?

Bad news from my callipers :

Both front are stucked, I can't even move the piston... :-\

And the rear one I let you make your own opinion.

Great job !! you are making serious progress, I just got my bike back from the shop, new front and rear caliper kit. Do you know what kind of seat you are going to go with ?

If you search here, I believe you'll find the front pistons for your XS1100SH.

Hi there!
Project's not dead! I am just too busy...
Things goes well, I have probably found a standard tank, and I am happy of that.
I tried to shape a seat, but I don't know yet if I want a one place seat or two...
Anyways... I also found a 17" rear wheels instead of the 16" I have.

More pics will follow soon.

As promised there are some pictures.
Temperatures here are still a bit cold so I can't work every days.

For now I cleaned the front wheel and I am happy with the result. I wait some buffing tools to finish it properly.

As you can see I have chromed parts on the engine that I really don't like. So apparently if the parts are immersed in muriatic acid chrome will go away... I really hope it will work.

So work go slowly but as soon temperatures warmer I will be able to work faster on it.
Apologies for cell phone pictures by the way!

Oh do you know where I can buy the tool to remove the rest of the fork?
Wow!! Your forks look amazing!! I was just about to paint mine black. Actually just bought gloss black lacquer last week. Good thing I haven't painted them yet. You just gave me a better idea!! Thank you!!
