First time hit by a car.....

Coast to Coast
I feel remarkably ok. Riding today in three lanes of traffic on the BQE, wanted to get into my right lane from the middle. Guy on right is veering into exit ramp. Truck decides to cut in front (ie "on top of") me from the left, I veer right at the exact moment the guy exiting decides not to. He drags me down the side of the car, I let the bike go and slide across the road, the traffic behind me (since its raining and they're going about 40) manage to avoid running me over. Tanks all fucked up, cables ripped out, triple may be bent (can't say for sure I'm kinda in shock, didn't look). All in all, came out ok. Left bike chained in a side street I'll check it out tomorrow...pretty shaken. The guy seemed convinced I drove my motorcycle into the car, which I'm sure you all understand is kinda impossible from a motorcyclist point of view. Hope the insurance works out ok. Anyways, very very thankful i came out alright. Guys, please ride safe!'
 
Hate to hear about the accident, but glad to hear you are ok.

Wow, man... It is natural to be shaken up. Glad you're ok. As a consolation, I hope the bike survived with as little damage as possible.

Early days but I'm wondering if I should take my time with the repairs ie put her away for the season.
 
God damn, man, just glad you are alive to tell the tale. If you need anything, just let your brothers and sisters of the DTT know what you need.
 
So glad to read that you ok. You"ll get that machine back up and running. Wow, I hate reading these, but it is a dose of reality we often try not to think about.
 
Crap...sounds like a really scary crash expecially with traffic coming up behind you. Glad that you're ok.
 
Good to hear that you are safe. What bike got hurt? I am sure that if any of us haver parts, we would be more than happy to get them to you so we can get you back out there
 
I agree with all these guys. Glad you're okay, and let us know what you need. Get back in the saddle, man.
 
My cb350. Unless something happened inside the engine seems like the main losses are basic like the throttle cable, right carb body. Tank is seriously banged up. Got it to the garage but haven't been able to fully examine the frame and forks

I will cut you a HELL of a deal on it.
 
Good point, I've got a pile of carbs...what do you need to get yours back up to snuff?
 
Aw, man! Glad to hear you're alright. The bike is secondary. I'd call you lucky, but if you truly were, you wouldn't have been placed into that pants-wetting situation!
 
Hopefully the last time you get hit by a car! Glad to hear that you're okay man. That cager was probably texting and eating a sandwich while merging...
