flatslide carb

hey guys , quick question , has anyone ever ran mikuni 32mm flatslides on a cb450 ? if so what was your over all experiance ,and where did you live when you ran these ? just about to get to the point of needing to buy a pair ,i was leaning toward the mikuni 32 mm cv round slide, just havent made up my mind yet. thanks guys, have a great remainder of the week!

I haven't run flat slide carbs personally, but everyone I've bumped into says they're overkill for the street.

I run Mikuni VM roundslide carbs on all my bikes, and many vintage racers use them on their rigs. Did you mean 32mm VM or CV (constant velocity)? I'd highly recommend the VM roundslides.

yeah tim your right , i meant i was leaning toward the 32mm vm (cv seem to be mostly oem carbs) i was asking about the flatslides because of a deal i came up on for a pair ,but yeah that seems to be the general consensus that they are better for wide open throttle applications like drag racing. well with that being said i believe itll be a pair or 32mm vm's from dime city. thanks for the reply tim.
