float bowl gasket!!

new to the forum and this might sound like a stupid question but how in the world do you get the round rubber seal to sit in the groove of the float bowl its extreemly frustrating.

a little grease in the groove and the seal should stick nicely

i tries using some gasket sealant that is pretty sticky and it still isn't working

Stop right there...
Put down the gasket sealer...
Get a can of spray carb cleaner and get that crap off!
Is the gasket wrinkled from being folded or the wrong size? Either way once you get the gasket sealer cleaned off everything, you can try putting the gasket under or next to a shop light incandescent bulb to make it softer. That might help... along with the grease in the floatbowls groove

I took the sealer off imidietly I ended up just giving them a slight stretch to loosen them up

Stretch it over night by putting it around a bottle of wine. It'll provide just that little bit of elasticity you'll need. Worked for me.

Sorry if I came across harsh... it's just that o-rings and gasket sealer toghter usually is a bad idea.
