ive looked at tools to remove a flywheel for an 83 tempter and they all look like just fine threaded bolts..... anyone know the exaxct size so i can just go to home depot? maybe save myself a couple bucks. btw im pretty sure i did this wrong but i have no idea how to post on this forum lol sorry!

Many bikes (but not all) use the same thread as one of the axles.
Axle bolts work well as stator/flywheel pullers...

Home Depot may not have the bolt you need, but go to an auto parts store and look for an oil drain plug the size you need. If the plug is too short to do the job, just cut a short piece of steel rod to put in there.

Of course, you still need to figure out the size and thread pitch.

What does the actual tool cost, though? $8.00.

Oh! Fer fuck sake! Just measure it.

Obviously, you don't have a metric thread pitch gauge. Do you have a kit of metric bolts/nuts/screws like you would get at Advance Auto. You can always use something like that to figure out the thread pitch. You can measure the diameter with a $10 caliper.
