Fork Gaitors

Been Around the Block
I'd like to put fork gaitors on my cb400. I thought Z1 had some but I can't seem to find them on their site. does anyone know where I can get a set for my bike? does any one have anything positive or negitive to say about them?

cyclexchange has a pretty good set for cheap. not sure what size tubes you have but here's the link

Or you could go to the local off road truck shop and get the shock covers there or even PEPBoys has them. Just use old radiator hose to make up the difference in diameter, use stainless hose clamps, and Bob's your Uncle!

Try Dennis Kirk, the Daystar series 83 should work, Partsnmore has a set for the Cb Honda, , CYCLEX has them for the CB also...none of them over 20 bucks, (before shipping) and all in stock as of the other day. I just ordered the Daystar series 83 for my 79 CB650 from Dennis Kirk.....will work good enuff!

Hey, whoever was ordering the Daystar 83 series gaitors from Dennis Kirk for a 79 CB650, did they fit? I have the same bike, but the space on my forks seems have the length and twice the thickness of those ones.

Fork gaitors blow! There's a damned good reason why the manufactures ditched them in the 70's. They hold dirt, and moisture inside which contribute to early seal failure, and tube corrosion.
