Fork seals

I'm a Dumbass.

I think i put my new fork seals in backwards. Does the flat side face outwards and the side with the flange and springs go towards the oil?

It's confirmed, i'm a dumbass. I put the flat side towards the oil. Last time i got a bike shop to do it and they put them flat side in as well.

Also, generally the fork seals will have the size spec printed on the side that faces upwards too.
