Freddie is back in my life!!!

Well Freddie is back for round 2!!!!!!! It had a tank liner issue so instead of fixing it for him I bought the old girl back! I always loved that thing so I am pretty excited! Going to build a all metal tank to eliminate any issues and hopefully gain a little more capacity. Also touch up the paint and clear in all the decals, and i think change the front end for the one i modified(shortened with spring preload adjusters) Heres were we are starting from.

Hell yeah! Curious to know more about the tank liner issue, if you don't mind sharing.

I chopped into it, it looks like the liner (caswell) failed were the fiberglass resin had built up in the bottom seems of the tank during construction, think it was probably to smooth for a good bond.

Got the tank welded up, it's going to take a bit more work to get it looking right. Capacity is up to a normal level which is a plus.

Ducati tank is an interesting choice. Very excited to see how this turns out.

Well it's finally back on the road!!!! Tank came out a bit more rs850r with a dash of 1985 nsr500. I am glad she is back for good, and running well. Also re pin stripped the fairings and cleared with 2x spray max.
