Front brake adjustment

Is there any way to adjust the front brake on a cb360t, it squeaks and its also a little squishy, i have bled it 50 times!! better but still squishy
thanks, eric

The squeaking noise is caused by the brake pads vibrating at a very high frequency in their mounts as the brake rotor slides past. You can partially disassemble things and clean everything really well and rough up/deglaze your pads with a little sandpaper. You can also use silicone rubber to cushions the brake pad to the caliper so the pad does not vibrate. Either anti-squeak shims pads or silicon paste that is simply smeared onto the back of the brake pad. But that will only make it go away for a limited time (nature of the beast).

As for squish if you have bled all the air out and still have trouble it is most likely time for new seals. How old are they? Stock? How about hoses? A major rebuild and new rubber from top to bottom would be an investment that pays off.

try your master cylinder, it probably needs to be rebuilt if it hasn't been, as far as squeaking, the front end on that bike will squeak if the hinge the brake arm pivots on is not moving freely, make sure it does, then make sure your pad is adjusted right, you should be able to get a sheet of paper between the pad and the disc when you release the brake

just put it up on the center stand and the front wheel will not spin free what so ever, the pads are tight against the rotor. The caliper and master cylinder was rebuilt by the guy that i bought it from.

Apparently not! Or rebuilt incorrectly. Try bleeding the brake, if that doesn't work tear it apart and do it right.

Looks like someone did a half-ass job rebuilding the master cylinder and caliper. I took the caliper apart and the plastic spacer(?) that goes between the pad and piston was not seated correctly so it was like the pad was a little more than 1/8 to wide. That fixed the brakes sticking now I need to do the master cylinder again, I noticed brake fluid leaking down the handle from somewhere.

While I'm doing this what type of upgrades would be possible?

Braided line, MC kit (or another MC off a later model bike), and a good flush of the caliper should make a noticeable difference.
