Front brake kit for CB550

Where can I get a kit to rebuild the hand brake - CB550 ?

Master cylinder has a leak at the piston where the lever contacts it. I suspect the seals are gone.

There should be rebuild kits available from Honda, on eBay etc. While you're looking you should also keep an eye out for a full replacement unit, as often it is cheaper to buy a good working m/c than it is to rebuild.

Loco Leon (Noel) has rebuilt his 550 and 750 master cylinders I think. He should have more info.

The only thing to keep in mind when you take the MC apart, there is a cir-clip, (part #5 in diagram), that is extremely recessed and very difficult to remove. YOu can't use the standard cir-clip, (snap ring plyer) that you'd get at any hardware store.

You'll need these from Z1 Enterprises unless you happen to be lucky enough to live close by TinTin's place!!, ( he can remove that snap-ring wtih his finger nail!!).. ;D
