Front Fender Law Requirement?

This may have been asked before, but is it against the law to remove the front and rear fender (more concerned about the front actually)? I live in California and haven't found anything (via good ol' google search) that says you can't remove the front fender.

After seeing this in another post http://dotheton.com/index.php?topic=8228.0, I thought it might look pretty nice for my own bike.

Be sure your bike doesn't need a front fork brace-most bikes do and it's built into the fender itself.
You'll have really cool experiences like heavy wobbling in turns at speed-hardcore!

Thankfully I do have an aftermarket fork brace. And since that's the case, then is it worth the time to still cut the fender from the stock fork brace (which would make the front fender unsellable)? I did that to my cb350 project shown here:

I think the aftermarket would be fine. I dig alot of things chopper guys do-no fenders, hardtails,no front brakeetc., but most of it really kills performance, which is what a cafe racer is to me, anyway. But to answer your question, no, I don't think there's a law. Getting hit in the face with a rooster tail when it decides to rain also sucks.

depends on the state, in NYS you've gotta have a front fender. any bike place that does inspections can tell you the state laws regarding that
