Front sprocket removal question??

Could that seal be that tight on that thing, keeping this case from letting go of the shaft? I know the seal around the kick start shaft was kinda sorta tight, but nothing like this cover

There is no seal

Pretty sure he needs a mechanic not a shifter shaft
