fuel mileage on sohc honda 4s

I have never owned a early honda 4 banger before. I just put my cb650 on the road this year and am finding it extremely thirsty. My bike has the pods, 4 into 1, and a dynajet kit. My mileage varies between 30 and 35 miles per canadian gallon. The bike runs well and is a blast to ride. I am just wondering if these bikes are normally hard on fuel or if It needs some carb work.

that's right about where it should be with the mods
my stock 750 got reported 38 mpg, my 400 gets about 45, so a 650 stock should be somewhere in the middle, and with bigger jets and pods and a fn1 you are right about where you should be... also, carb problems usually cause mileage to increase and performance to decrease because they're often preventing enough fuel from getting in

Thanks Rockcitycafe. Sounds like everything is as it should be. The only major drawback to this is range. Up in the remote areas where I live gas stations can get spread out, making touring with the old girl out of the question.
