Fuel tank sizes

Could anyone with a tape measure list what model you have and the length of your gas tank? I'm working on an xr100 and want a more rounded tank. There is only about 12 inches to work with before i would have to alter my seat pan.

What type of gas tank are you looking for? Like, if you are looking at a specific model, you will get more answers.

Any of the small honda family 100 - 200cc that use that frame will go on easily, CB CL SL XL TL CG CD.
An old skool 160 tank is quite short and has the rubber side panels.

Do you know the length of any of those off hand? My xr is a 2003 and is shaped like those frames but i'm not sure on the size comparison between them.

Ah! I mistakenly assumed you had the early XR, the late ones look like a whole different frame.
If you trawl through Pitbike spare part suppliers there are lots of moulded 'under tanks' designed to have body work that goes over the top.
They come in all shapes and sizes. An option could be to get one of them, then find an old metal tank, cut the base off it and mount it over the fuelcell as a dummy tank.
Just a random idea .......

I see a sl125 tank on ebay and i wanted to know for sure before i put the money up to buy it. Most of the small framed bikes like that have a similiar wheelbase so maybe the main backbone part will be the same.

I love the rounded shape of it as well. I hope it will match up with the lines of this little dirtbike i am trying to get the tracker look. Next thing is just some shorter bars to shift some weight to the front some.
