I have an old 1996 agv helmet with the liner worn all the way out and a scratched up visor. Think a vent thingy is cracked too. But the PO put a super bad ass ducati sticker on the chin area. If this interests you it's yours.

Here we go again ;D for me it just depends on conditions... every ride can be your last and a helmet is little insurance... really :-\

As someone who would be dead without a helmet, jawless without a full face and is alive and typing this now I'd say full face helmets are a big piece of insurance. I'd be walking better too if I had motocross boots on instead of regular leather.

You are the exception tho. and some wish they had died I'm sure too.

I don't judge, I just call em as I see em.

Of the two times I have come off on the road, Not once have I hit my head on the ground. Both were on corners, either back sliding out or footpeg contacting the road.

In any case, I will ways wear a full face helmet. Having had major jaw reconstruction done before I am not up for it another time.

Jesus holy mother of wtf ...full face simpson it is

I tested my helmet about three and a half weeks ago. I went head to head with an F150. My head hit the pavement pretty hard. It was enough for me to have a concussion and lose memory of the accident. I had a headache for the rest of the day. I got a CAT scan at the hospital and I was OK. I can't say whether or not the helmet saved my life, but I would not have wanted to go through it helmetless. My scalp would not have done well and the impact point on the helmet gives me pause. No tellin' why I'm still here to type this. Lucky, I guess....or divine intervention. I'm on bonus time now.

DOT shorty helmet was enough this time.

Not shown well in the photo, but there is considerable road rash on my goggles.

I have a sprained ankle. The heavy steel toe boot took a beating.

I did a number on the front of that truck.

I was wearing lined motorcycle pants, a leather motocycle jacket, and riding gloves. I took a beating, but no broken bones or internal injuries. No road rash, only fabric burns. The helmet was a Zamp shorty. It was properly shaped and a good fit on my head and the chin strap was snug. I had a cut on my nose from my Rx glasses that made for some blood at the scene. I'll have aches and pains for a while.

ALWAYS WEAR A HELMET!

I'm undecided on the Guzzi. The triple tree is sloppy loose on the bottom. I suspect frame damage there. Otherwise, it might be salvageable. Right valve cover is broken, but I think the cylinder head is OK.

Full face or no face.

A close look at my helmet says my face is all chewed up by the pavement. Lucky for me that is not the case. I can't say how that happened. The helmet is still riding around in the trunk of my wife's car. I need to hang it on the wall. She had to drive 10 hours round trip to pick my sorry ass up.

I have taken a lot of flack over the shorty helmet. I have other helmets. I chose that one with some idea of the risk involved. It did the job that time. Any helmet is better than no helmet.

I'm still riding. I have a couple other bikes in the go mode. I even kick started the XS650 with my bum ankle for a ride last weekend.
