Hey guys - I hate to do this, but the time has come to part ways with the 69 Scrambler I restored back in 2013. Some life developments dictate the sale so I've placed a very reasonable price on the bike.
**Please note - the bike is located in Asheville, NC but I will be traveling to the Syracuse NY area around Christmas - I'm willing to meet anyone along the I-81 corrider on my drive up.
Details:
Completely restored 1969 Honda CL450 Scrambler. I did a 100% restore/refresh in 2013 and have put approximately 450 miles on the bike since then. There are around 12,000 miles on this bike. This bike starts and runs very easy/smooth. I haven't been afraid to take it on a few 60-100 mile rides around the mountains of western NC.
I have a clean and clear NC title in hand.
This bike has the original chrome and original paint, which have been cleaned up and protected. All original polished aluminum parts as well. No rips or tears in the original seat cover.
The frame, swingarm, and other black components have been powder coated.
Engine - Fresh top end during rebuild. Bottom end cleaned, inspected, and rebuilt.
Transmission - Cleaned, inspected, and rebuilt. Fresh bearings where required.
Frame - Powder coated
Swing Arm - Powder coated
Original Chrome - Cleaned up and installed
Original Aluminum - Cleaned up, polished, and installed
Original Paint - Cleaned up, buffed, waxed. This isn't 100% museum quality but it's really good considering that it's nearly 47 years old.
Also included in the sale:
Original tool pouch
Original owners manual
Original high handlebars with functioning controls still installed and intact.
Original cables that go with the high bars
I may have a few misc parts that go with the bike as well.
