Funky taillight

LazloH

Been Around the Block
Found this guy at a flea market/swap meet type thing in Wisconsin. I have a feeling this will be on the next project that I never get around to finishing but I wanted to share anyway. Curious as to how I would mount it to a fender since the curvature varies.

I, too, advise the use of satan clear to keep the devils and demons away from the engine.

If it's a close fit, thin (or thick) rubber gasket material might work too, and trim around the edge.

It might ground through the metal casing. Keep that in mind if your planning to mount it to wood, rubber, or plastic.

when I do anything with it, I will probably modify it to LED which means building my own circuit for it...the old light housing assembly is the spring clip version... so grounding out through the housing was probably shoddy to begin with.

16 bulb replacement guts/lens is $26, can you make it for that?

I have a lot of misc components laying around from other projects... however that is a good deal to get a replacement lens too. Thanks!
