Future fighter, now even babier...GS500E inside...

Definitely not into the "cut things off to bob it" look ;D As for the can, it's fully welded, no rivets, so cutting it down would be way more work they it's worth. I'd lode to run a shorty carbon can on there, something like a Ixil or V&H CS One...so hot...

For now I FINALLY got the rear fender hacked off! Honestly I used a heat gun and a locking razor blade knife and it was SOOOOOoooo easy.

man that cleans it up so so much... personally what i would do... i would convert the turn sigs to a duel filament bulb. then you can make them your brake, running, and turn sigs. then remove that box tail light. move the plate up to cover up what is left when you remove the brake light... would clean up and loooook so smooth back there! plus trick, how many rockets do you see with turn sig brake lights! think how much smooother that would look without the box back there!

Well it's far from a fighter mod, but I love it. Got the old girl set up with the new bags for summer trips...I love it. I got these Fiedlsheer Compact bags for $67 at BikeBandit!!! I'm thinking I should picked up the "roller" bag too while I was at it, these have latches on top for it to clip right on...oh well the cargo net will have to do.

I'm also ordering a set of 0.75-1.6" adjustable spacer/risers for the bars for longer trips. I'll be making at least one 450-500 mile trip this summer and hopefully a couple of good 150-200 mile beach trips too. Gotta get the miles on before the kid comes in September...

;D thanks guys. The floor was just epoxy sealed a few weeks ago and it looks a bit chaotic right now as I have a bunch of camping gear that has yet to find a home and new nursery furniture in those huge boxes...

The bags are obviously only for when they are needed, but I like having more flexibility with the bike for sure.

diamondback bike in the box, back there? haha. bike looks good.. but there's something bothering me about the muffler.. maybe too far back, or wrong angle? hmmm....

Hahaha, no bike, just a new dresser for the nursery I'm putting together this weekend...

I truly hate the factory muffler/exhaust, but the angle works well for the luggage and is in line with the seat. I'm working to pick up and old WileyCo carbon fiber can right now as they're a very good fit for the GS and are popular with the GS guys (discontinued though). I'm not looking for something super loud on this bike as I do intend to put on quite a few miles, but definitely want to hear the engine, and love the sound of this twin ;D

speaking of the sound of this bike, do the cylinders run parallel like an XS650, or opposite eachother like a cb500T?
