garage/ man cave ideas...

Iv'e been watching this thread for a while now, and i think my man cave fits the criteria.it's got everything youv'e been talking about (with the exception of a hairy wall and a T.V. which you couldn't give me,as my garage is where i go to escape from the aforsaid item), if you look hard you may catch a glimpse of a n M.G.B. roadster lurking in the undergrowth.i intend selling it later in the year to make room for the pool table which is allso hideing in there somewere

and a drive thru window(sorry to many beers). Nice triumph any plans for it?

Yeah, more plans than the wallet will allow, at present she's in bits, as an air box removal /K+N cone filter conversion is in mid execution.then theres the usual ,tyres, chain +sprockets, oil + filter ,just fit new headlamp, resprayed mud guards,it goes on......cant wait to get back on though shes friggin great to ride.

How about really go balls deep and legitimately make it look like a cave! Get crazy with the chicken wire, paper mache, fake plants, lighting, and some bats hanging from the ceiling! You could have a drop down flat panel tv, a pop out wet bar, and loads of hidden storage! :D ;D

i'mm in the north of England, the lake district. the m.g.is about buggered,i was going to re shell it ,you can get a heritage shell complete with all doors boot and bonnet (hood for all those accross the water) for about £6,500. too much for me .it will make a great donor ,its all there. i work in a body shop and know i will never finish (or start ) the mg project.i work on cars all day every day i just can't be arsed doin it at night aswell.as for price not sure what shes worth, cost me £400 in 1985,so wont be much.

Ooh, a real cave idea.... that way it could be a secret underground lair ala james bond. Sweet......

funny you should mention that staffy, as iv' got a 6foot koi pool in the prosses of being built just next to my garage.will get this baby finnished if it ever stops raining in this bloody country..here i am waterproofing last summer

Blake.....i'mm loving your imagination man...

are you an interior decorater by any chance?

Nah, just get ideas from things I see. I was looking for a house to rent a few years ago an stumbled across a normal looking mid-50's two story house. The basement had a few rooms and a den with a huge stone wall and a massive fireplace. In the shadowy corner of there stone wall there was a small doorway that led to a small hall. Mind you this is all underground and was a bit creepy. I followed the small hall into what was literally an underground grotto/cave bar! The walls were curved with built in seating. There was a hanging tv and a curved bar built into the wall with a mini fridge hidden below. Everything was painted like stone. There were hidden lighting strips behind the ledges and it was all very impressive.

And you didn't rent this place for what reason? It only had one toilet? Gas stove instead of electric? The front door was bright orange?

At the time I was saving $ to buy my bike and the house was a budget buster at $1400 a month. Would've liquidated my CB500 fund quickly. I probably shouldn't mention the overgrown yard with a river tributary in the back yard, the rope swing, old steel bridge, or the 14'x14' one room cabin with a porch overlooking the creek :-X I rode by today and it's for rent again but I'm sure they've raised the price again. :-[

Well if it didn't have a furry wall then it just wasn't worth it then! :)

Negotiable? It seems to be still up for grabs.
