G'day from Australia

Lurchorama

Saving small Honda's in Australia.
Evening all,

The name is Jason (Lurch to most) and I'm in Canberra.
I got pointed here from a mate while I was looking for ideas of what to do with an old GPx250 I have kicking around.

Some wonderful ideas and examples of all kinds of Cafe Racers and other modified bikes.

Cheers,
Lurch

Whilst trawling the internet for ideas, I stumbled across this pic:

(If anyone know the origin of that photo, that'd be awesome too)

Although not exactly what I want, it's given me a lot of ideas.
I've been doing a lot of playing in Photoshop, and here is were Ive ended up:

Welcome!

I'm a Yank in NC, but I used to live in Adelaide. (I'd go back in a second given the chance)

One thing I'm curious about is how much modding you can do before you run up against the Rego laws?

I know that cars are a royal pain in the but to modify and get to pass rego (engineers reports, et.c) to the point that you don't see that many hot rods there.

Can you change wheels? Subframes? Brakes?

As much as I enjoyed my time in OZ, the rego laws there always stuck me as going waaaaay too far.

Nice scoot, too!

A lot I think depends on who you know when it comes to inspection time and also how crazy you intend to go.
My particular plans aren't too bad, so I don't envisage any hassles.
