Gear indicator gs750

I'm workin on a 78 suzuki gs750 and I want to eliminate the gear indicator cuz I'm puttin on a new speedometer. How can I disconnect the wires that run to the motor. I want to keep my neutral wire cuz my new speedo has a neutral light. I'm tryin to clean it up so I don't really want those wires runnin from the motor to nothing. Thanks

The neutral wire is the blue one (with the male bullet terminal) that sits outside the connector. The rest can go.
