Gettin the old man a bike!

My pops retired this year and we took the motorcycle riders course together a few years ago. My brothers and I are pooling some money together to get him a bike to ride with me. He's not to into the cafe bikes and he's a little guy like me, so I was thinking of a V-Star 250 or Honda Rebel. It's his first bike and he hasn't really ridden for the last few years. Man, I can't wait to ride with the old man this summer!

Nice, my old man won't touch bikes and pretends I don't own any. but I am building a CX500 for the Dad in law to ride. If your dad is a former rider you could look for something just a little bigger, like the virago 535 is not much larger than a 250 but has just a little more ummph without being to crazy. Also I took my MSF test on the S40/Savage 650 suzuki and they are nice low bikes but have some torque, you can ride them just with the clutch and not even use the throttle. Good luck and concrats on the riding with your dad. I have to wait a few more years until my son can ride to do the father son thing.

Cheers,
