Getting milky water spots out of plastic side covers...

Man Of Constant Throttle
...anyone know how or have any tips? I've tried vinegar to no luck. Failing all that, anyone know if I can paint another layer over top of spotted plastic without it coming through, and then clear coat it?

It's a lot but I'm assuming it's just on the surface. I'll wash it and it'll look ok wet, but then dry with the spots again.

So you have white spots on your bare plastic? Are they molded in color?
Injected molded plastic can have white streaks called "splay" and it would be thoughout the part but should be able to be painted over without an issue.

OK, here's what I'm looking at, half wet / half dry (attached).

Definitely the plastic polish. Just go slow and dont press to hard into the plastic amd it should com out fine.

Beauty. Thanks dudes. I'll try that stuff and post some before and afters of how it comes out.

Hey, thanks for the tipoff about the Novus polish. Worked like a charm. This is the black side.
Hey, in a related note, anyone looking for a stock 1979 CB650 right side cover (w/decals) to swap for a blank or black one?

A loose cotton wheel with some jeweler's rouge will work, too. Just make sure not to use a standard buffing wheel or you may melt the plastic.
