Gluing Closed cell foam

I have two sheets of closed cell foam for my seat, both pieces are 1/2 inch, I would like to glue them together, to make it 1 inch. What is the best glue to use for this? Anyone have any experience gluing closed cell foam together? Thanks in advance!

Andy

Permatex make a nice spray adhesive as well. That's what I used to glue the foam to the Ducati seat on my Yamaha.

Thanks everyone, I appreciate the responses. Good to have some knowledgable folks here! I'll pick up some spray adhesive. Thumbs up!

Or you could have bought closed cell neoprene seat foam from me with the "peel and stick" pressure-sensitive adhesive already on it. You just cut the shape you want, peel off the protective backing and stick in place. No fuss, no muss, no bother, no contact cement mess and stink either.
Keep me in mind for your next seat project.

If you spray both sides of the foam, wait a few seconds, then press together, it sticks super fast. I use one of these http://www.harborfreight.com/air-angle-die-grinder-32046.html with this pad http://www.harborfreight.com/pack-of-5-3-inch-100-grit-twist-lock-abrasive-discs-99575.html and it worked great. Also did a little by hand as well.

Harbor freight sure is a great man store.

It's nice to buy that tool that I only need once for a lot less. My bro and I got the 6" buffer as well and it's been great! A ton easier than polishing by hand!
