I'm looking for opinions on spilt or curved lense halcyon goggles. How are either kind to look through? thanks

I have a pair of the split lens goggles and they work fine. After a while you get used to them and don't notice the seams. Heck they worked fine for the RAF in WWII so they should be more than adequate for motorcycle riding. They also look more vintage than the curved lenses

I've ridden with both split lens and curved lens. It takes time to get used to them.

I prefer split lens goggles.

The problem with curved lens goggles is that it bends light like all curved lenses, which distort what you see. I couldn't adjust.

thats what I'm worried about. I dont want everything in peripheral to grow as it goes by. But doesn't the split lense make thinks jump in a sense?

Not really. The hardest to get used to is seeing the split between lenses. you get used to it pretty quickly

are the split ones like night and day compared to the emgo(?) one's they sell at doc's leathers? can't remember the price, they 'bout the same?

..yeah, +1 on the distortion on the curved lense, almost gives me a headache sometimes, me no like.

Ive had both..
Im not crazy about the curved lenses in those goggles.
I much prefer the split lens as long as they are good set like, Stadium or Halycon, etc..etcc..
Emgos are ok... decent for the price, but Id wouldnt cry over if they broke...

I actually like the Halcyons. They're nice, buit watch out for the leather that touches your face. They're going to make consistent contact so they better be as soft as possible or it'll act as an abrasive against your skin.

Aside from that I like the nose-bridge adjusters. The cheap ones don't adjust very well.

The Halcyons are the Rolls Royce of the aviator goggle world from what I can tell.
They sell for £ 85.06 on the Bentley Motors site.

Thanks guys, I think i'll go with the split lense. Now I just have to pick between brown and black. They are alot cheaper from halcyon then bentley. £49.99 plus another £7.50 to ship. Comes to about $112.
