Going 50cc Scooter Racing - Retro Style!

I've recently discovered there are a couple of 50cc endurance scooter races in Australia, and they look like an absolute hoot! They vary between 3 hours and 24 hours depending on the race and are aimed at 50cc production scooters.

Being a big fan of retro vehicles and silly endeavours I would love to enter either a propper retro stepthrough scooter or at least a retro looking scooter. Are there any 50cc stepthroughs from the 1970's/80's capable of 80ish km/h with a little tweaking? are any of the more modern retro-style scooters capable of such feats?

I know it is a long shot but I love the idea of getting out there on a proper vintage or vintage style scooter and competing amongst all the modern looking things.

80kph or 80 mph? What about buying an MB50 engine and fitting it to a stepthrough scoot?

definitely only km/h. I've thought about engine swaps too but pretty sure it would be outside the scope of the competition
