If at any point you make a green in that anodized LET ME KNOW!!!! I have some small bits for the 350 chop Id kill to have done like that. And the bike is badass brother!

I was commiserating with my fellow Auburn brothers, but I guess Tigers can refer to whatever you want. ;D

BTW, I love the wing. It has got me thinking about a wing bobber. At some time in the next couple years, I want to ride around the country, and I figured a wing would be a nice bike to do it on. (I'm certainly not going to do it on my back breaking 450 cafe :D ). Your builds are inspirational.

ok ok ok... got alot done! Carbs are in, cables are in place and adjusted, clutch is on and clutch cable is adjusted, new grips are on (what a bitch those where, took almost an hour.. had to boil them and then use dish soap to lube up the throttle sleeve) but they look goooood!, front master is on, rear master is on, carbs are bench synced, seat is done (reshaved, bolted up, final wrap job completed) rear brake lever is on, shift lever is on.

tonight is valves and brakes.... then tues is wiring... wed and thrus is exhaust and we should be good to go!
here are some pics

Hey man, Nice build. How do you like those grips? I just bought a pair on epay and they are on their way from china, not sure on the quality though.

they are a bitch! took me almost an hour to get them on, well the trottle sleeve, I ended up turning the trottle sleeve on the sander to thin it out, ground out the metal tabs on the grips ( we powdered them so i was very careful)
i ended up pulling off the metal rings, boiling water, putting the grip in there, then lubing the sleeve wiht dish soap, pulled it out and gently clamped it in the vice, then twist and push twist and push till it was on! plus the grips are shorter than reg grips so after it was on, i had to take it back off to shave the sleeve down a bit... just sucked at 3am

well... I am sick as a dog, sucks... got the wife sick, now she is pissy, ha ha ha did not get much done yesterday, had to make some new brake shims (the metal things that keep pressure on the brake pads) but i got the new pads in, the speed bleeders are here but i did not install them as i have to bench bleed the system first, the brake lines are all hooked up... rear brake is on and locked in... reason the front are not on.... i just realized that i put the speed sensor from the speedo on wrong, well more hooked up to the tab on the fork leg wrong so the one brake would not fit... have to pull the front wheel real fast to correct that... high temp pad grease is on the back of the pads to keep from them making any noise!

not sure why only one pic sent but we all know what brakes look like

Oy! That does sound like a pain in the ass. Just got mine in, they look cool but feel a little chinsy. After your struggles I am having second thoughts, maybe I will re-bay them....

that is why we powdered them to change them up, i do really dig how small they are, being that your hand completely covers the grip, has a very "racey feeling"

If your whole hand covers them I gotta wonder, are they long enough to cover the who throttle sleeve? or is there a gap? Guess I will find out when I fit them up.
