Goldwing is on the road, Flat out... GL1100 (vid)

Oh, God, now I gotta go buy another bike to cut up!

For a fork brace you could cut the brace out from under the old front fender and powder coat it.

Nice job on the steering damper.

What are those mufflers??? I need some!

stock sporty mufflers that have been adapted a bit to work... really was not hard at all did a bit of welding and they worked out great!

Nice work. Those bikes are so nice to ride. They are as smooth as glass on the road and torquey too. My uncle and I used to ride two up when I was younger. He was 325lbs, I was 160lbs and the bike was fully dressed. It still pulled hard when you pushed it.

fiberglass, seat foam, batting, and fabric for the top cover

last night got the new master cyl on, braided lines, rebuild the calipers, new brake pads, coated and installed the rotors, coated the speedo gear that now just acts as a spacer, got the pipes on wiht the baffles removed... new shorted kick stand that has be coated... all i have left to do is pull the carbs while i have it all apart, make sure everything is tight (have a slight drip durring warm up) set the floats... install them back in there and then sync them... and slap on the new fender...and she is good to go till winter where rotors will be drilled, digital guage set up will be made to sit inside the tank, LED kit, and who knows what else

That bike is sick! I love naked wings, and the opportunity to purchase one has come up more than once, but never at a time when I had the cash.

well got some time to do some wrenching on the wing a bit, added the freshly powder coated front fender i stole off a CX500 and then bobbed down, brakes are freshly rebuilt with new pads, while i had the wheel off i tossed new bearings in it for good measure... the new master cylinder and braided lines are AWESOME!!!!!! stopping power like no other!

Where do you source your bearings? Just curious... I need some new ones for my CB750 and I want quality.

all balls on ebay... actually i used a set of bearings i had fro a CB750 in stock, they used the same ones either that or motion industries, depends where and how fast i need them

new pics of the work... master is done and bled out, new lines are on and the stopping power is unreal! then i went to work on the carbs. they where leaking gas. so i figured it was the Plenum gasket... hit up Randakk's and ordere the plenum gasket and special fuel seals... go figure i open it up and it is part the Plenum gasket and fuel seals but ALSO the air o rings are bad! just stretched beyond their limit and do not fit snug... so need to order more parts before i can button it back up! but here are some pics...

work so far:
powder:
rotors, master, lever, bolts, mufflers, front fender

work:
removed joint for brakes, new 5/8 master, briaded lines, cut and bobbed front fender and inistall, pressed baffles out of pipes, re coated and installed, new exhaust gaskets, bled brake lines, pulled calipers apart and rebuilt them, wired in remote on off switch for fan, new rear dif fluid change, new front wheel bearings, cut and shortened kick stand (to add more lean angle), new front pads

I have a spare carb body here, and that o-ring is still attached. Do want me to check at work in the o-ring cabinet and see it I have 4 the right size? Randakk strongly recomends the use of Viton units for their heat tolerance and I can not gaurentee mine won't be the lower temp Buna-n ones... but 4 of them in an envelope would only cost me the price of a postage stamp. Is the smaller one in the top left at the passage flattened? I do not have one of those to match, but I could possibly match it to the carb body and throw those in as well.

thanks bud but i have all new (from Randakk) Plenum Gasket, Carb-to-Plenum AIR O-rings (the ones that i am waiting on them to ship), and the smaller Plenum Special FUEL Seals... so that should cover it though... thank you so much for the offer though! i wnat this sucker done and on the road! hahaha
