Gone but haven't forgotten haha - brief updates and pictures of new shop!

Chimera Moto Works

Been Around the Block
Hey everyone! It's been quite a while since I've been on the forum, but I haven't forgotten about this place! A lot has changed over the past 6-7 months. I moved across state to Dyersburg, TN to work @ Rough Country suspensions. With the help of my brother, we found a 2000sq ft. home in Newbern, TN. A massive 7 minute drive to work haha. We also got our hands on a shop!

Below i'm posting pictures. It's 2800sq ft.!! It also came with a 60 gallon air compressor that has hard lines dropped throughout the building and a full size car lift! It also came wired for 220 and after replacing a faulty double break, we switched the outlet to a standard vertical three plug for our MIG and TIG welders.

So...obviously... when I came down after my brother had already been moved being offered a job a few months prior to my being offered a position we got a storage unit and I brought all my equipment down with me and once we signed the lease on the shop, we moved in this past weekend. I was excited to fill up the building with our stuff, and as you'll see, it's quite funny because we're nowhere near filling the shop up. With that said, that's a good thing, because you're always supposed to plan for expansion.

Well...thats about it. Oh! I'm having a baby boy in September! I have an 18month old daughter and now have a boy due in about two months. You'll see a picture of my fiance, she's trying to hide behind our daughter haha.

We also have our hands in a few other business ventures:

We now make T-shirts, Buttons, Vinyl Graphics, and Shana makes handmade Earrings! So we're really trying to expand everything we can do for people. With that said, Tim has given us his blessing(approval haha) to make DTT buttons and vinyl graphics. The buttons will start being available tonight in the for sale section and the vinyl decals will be available hopefully starting tomorrow. We received the artwork tonight. We're also going to offer the buttons in magnet form for all your tool boxes, fridges, etc., and will be offering logo decals and buttons of all the different import bike logos!

Enjoy the pictures. How have the rest of you been?

And yes, I brought the Tempter as well, and will be picking back up on it soon!

We would love to host a DTT get-together here! Any time! We are about 2 hours outside of Nashville, TN and about 2.5 hours outside of St. Louis!

Next week our father is bringing down a GS550, GS1000chain, indian dirtbike basket case as well as some other parts and pieces that we didn't have the opportunity to bring down the first time.

Shop is located directly behind Main Street in Newburn, TN. An oldschool type of downtown area with a liquor store, city hall, pizza joint, 'nana's kitchen' and dive bar. A fun, old fashioned downtown area. Nice and quiet but fun and full of history. Our shop used to be a 'famous-for-its-time' body shop for a Ford dealership that was located right on Main St.

I'm not that far from you guys, I'm in Rosemark, about 30 minutes north of Memphis off TN 14, about 10-12 miles east of US51. There is a get together at my family farm Sept 14-21, come on down. Dodge trucks thru end of model year 1971, Mopar cars through end of model year 1972, most motorcycles (no nosecone HDs or left side shift Sportsters)... You should fit right in. So far open to DTT, a Suzuki Savage forum, a 61-71 Dodge truck board, a 1960 and older Mopar board, a Smith and Wesson forum...

Nice looking shop you've got in the making. Welcome back.

Awesome looking shop! Kind of reminds me of the one we operate out of now only bigger, and believe it or not, a little bit newer. That is going to be one awesome place when you guys have it set up exactly how you want it

Glad to see you are still kickin around. Congrats on the move and expansion, both shop wise and family wise.
