Good bike locks for street parking?

Coast to Coast
Anybody have 2 cents on good bike locks? I have a CB500 and may have to park it on the street in a "OK" area. Chaining it to a pole may not be a option. Also, don't know if there are loud motion alarms out there.... that would help.

Thanks!
John

Anything with a thick and hardened steel chain. Though I've never used them, I hear good things about Kryptonite.

Make sure to lock the rear wheel to the frame. It's a lot harder to remove the drive wheel than the front one.

Damn, I followed that thread down the rabbit hole but it's GREAT info.... thanks for posting it.

Me too. some good info. I've been careful, only had one side cover stolen off of a CB550 that was parked outside, but with a cover. I've also always thought that people who steal bikes and shit off of bikes are usually going to get theirs, likely while riding.
