Hello All,

Im new to the site, this place looks bad ass. Im new to the cafe racer build. I picked up 1972 cl 175 scrambler from my gf's dad, It has not been rode since 1989. Just want to go on record and say that i have looked at a lot of your pics and projects and im excited about whats to come for this bike. My mind is racing (pun intended). Ive included a few pics after i dug it out of the weeds in the back yard.

Welcome Ryeson... I see a lot of potential there, Enjoy!
Does the engine turn over aftyer setting out in the weeds a while??

I was able to shift through all gears, and i even got to kick it over. Not start because no fuel but it had smooth action and wasnt frozen. Im going to pull the spark plugs and take a look inside. Its been outside for so long, cant wait to see how much rust is everywhere lol. You cant beat a free bike though, right?

Hey welcome aboard.

That's a great little pickup. The engine turns over, so that's a great start.

Good luck with it.
Damian.

"Free bike" that's a good one. Check back in six months and you'll wonder what happened to your savings.

Welcome aboard man.

Thanks guys,

I look forward to getting into this project. Im sure i will be asking for help and knowledge in a few areas. I wouldnt say the bike is free, i'm dating his daugther and she gets pretty pricey at times haha jk.
