Got Head?

Hey guys,

I am looking for the top end (cam, rocker arm portion) of the cylinder head. Rocker arms are grooved pretty bad. I could get away with replacing two rockers if someone has them laying around. The valves have been machined, reseated and cleaned up with fresh springs. I would be grateful for any leads.

1980 CB650 or anything compatible.

Im in the Hamilton ON area and willing to travel

Why not Im interested to hear?
the rockers have some kind of hard facing so it needs to be built up again as it it too thin there are outfits that do this but just doing a regrind is not an option
as far as valve faces some of the honda valves have a very thin hard face as well a regrind could go thru that as well also none of the honda valves really have any extra material at the tulip ,so a guy really needs to know what he is dealing with and also stem wear is pretty common,....so it is just so much easier (and better)to get new valves if they are worn

.I will agree SOME factory valves have a hard surface thats microns deep, usuallly they are stainless and titanium valves. There is all sorts of finishes on factory valves dipped and sprayed on as well and some are softer to help seat the lousy chattery factory valve and seat. Replacing the valves with new is almost always a good idea..Fact is sometimes its just not practical or valves arent available for some reason...I personally grind my own Honda valves and run the hell out of them for years with no problem at all ever..As a matter of fact some valves that come in my shop new arent true in my runout fixture and I grind them straight. As far as rockers if they are hardened at all its crappy and in thirty years of rebuilding I have reground an polished thousands of rockers with no problem..I have used them in my own engines with long days with lots of 7000 rpm use and with good lube and proper clearance will work just fine. This isnt just an opinion its proven to myself and its fact.
