Got hit today

Damn Joe.. Glad to hear you're ok man. Worried when I saw the title. I can't believe no one stopped.. Insane. I stop to help people with flats all the time and they're always skeptical of me.. Sad day we live in.

Re: Got hit today

Man I'm glad your ok. That sucks about the other peeps not stopping and the person who hit you. It isn't surprising though. Peoples driving has gotten way worse and crazy lately. There was a big standoff thing with police around my area yesterday. When me and my wife were going somewhere I told her I don't know how any law enforcement people could ever spot anyone from the air because everyone seems to be driving like a criminal lol. It seriously is getting nuts out there. For motorcyclist and for those in cars that do what they know is right.

Glad you're alright Joe. Sorry to hear about everything else.

MAN that sucks! I've been run off the road a few times, but never had anyone actually hit me! I always say dress for the crash.. and you did! That helmet tells it all. Drives me nuts to see people in shorts, tank tops.. even flip flops!

DAMN JOE!
Others have already said it but so glad you are OK... bike can be fixxed.
And not only did the guy hit and run... but NOBODY else stopped?! That is so wrong.
I bet you will be sore tomorrow ::)

Glad you are OK Joe.
You would think that since 75% of the people driving are already talking on the phone, at least ONE would have called in the assholes plate to the HP. ::)
And I can't believe nobody stopped to block traffic and help you, and help pick-up your bike.
And to then get rear ended in the truck.....maybe you should buy a lottery ticket, you've used up all your bad luck for a while. ;D

Man, happy youre still breathing Joe. Hope nothing serious pops up. Do yourself a favor and go see your doctor tomorrow man. Just let him know what happened and make sure youre solid.

Second This, I walked around with broken bones for two years because I didn't get checked out. Did enough nerve damage that I didn't notice the pain anymore. Much less expensive to find out now.

Sorry to hear man! Really sucks that you were not able to catch the guy, either.

As to the bike--to bad its down for a bit, but it should take you what, like 2-3 days to have it in its next incarnation? ;D

Best of luck, bud!

Best of luck, that really sucks.
Glad you are as OK as you seem to be.
I've become a lot more sensitive to bad drivers recently, thanks to a couple bicycle vs car and motorcycle vs car incidents I have had. I've developed an aversion towards some parts of town thanks to it.

thanks guys... i am doing ok just really sore... my buddy is a doc... he came by the house last night and checked me out... i am good to go... just pretty bruised up, and moving slow last night. going to try and get my sled finsihed up so i can get this bandit back on the lift and fix it back up to new... but i think for the rest of the winter i am going to snag a lil Civic hatch back or CRX to use to drive to and from the shop... people are simply not seeing bikes this time of the year... dont want to tempt fate again! thanks for the love guys means alot!

Check out the Mazda 3-5door. We bought one for our daughter when she started college, and it's amazing how much junk cool stuff that you can cram in one.

Glad your OK, bruising will heal up eventually.
It really pisses me off how bad the driving standards are plus how 'entitled' people think they are to do shit like this
I don't ride during the week (don't ride at all at present, surgeon said it aint a good idea :( )
Orlando seems to be much worse than it was a few years ago, maybe it's all over?
Good luck with repairs, hope you find the bastard (cos if they travel same route regular, you will)

Glad you survived relatively unscathed! I can't believe the guy didn't even stop, but I've had that same thing happen to me while on my bicycle on a training ride. Hit and run left me with many broken bones and a major concussion. Helmets kids...wear your helmet.

Glad you are ok mate.
Treacherous over here too with the low winter sun.
+1 for full face helmets.
And your truck too! Much damage to that?

Boy no shit there....but how the hell do they not see a 500 pound bright red moving hunk of metal? Truth is it's easy: Cars are too comfy now, too quiet inside and too easy to drive. They still require the same or even more vigilance behind the wheel yet they breed inattention. It's just too easy to be lax when you're tooling along in your quiet, heated, comfy living-room on wheels? Bastards.....
