Gotta free turd today! Yay!

Crazy PJ commented that they used to haul the stators out of the honda CB/Cm400's and put them in these bikes to fix em. I got one if you want it, might take a bit to get it out of the bottom end I have though, in the shed covered in like 8' of snow.

No idea on this one, but agreed that pre 90's Suzuki wiring was crap. My '84 GSX has bad wiring - think the starter circuit is fried... and all the damn warning lights keep going on for no reason. Headlight and signals all screwy, too. Hello rewiring project!

Anyway, I say it looks the goods with that tank and the clubmans, try dropping the headlight down and maybe even putting a mini screen over the top to protect/hide the gauges. Give it a good going over with a spray job and call it a day.

Just got in from the garage. I hooked up a battery and checked all lights starter ect. Everything works and it's got spark! So I suppose I'll clean the carbs and put them back on. I am going to put a diffent tank and freash rubber on it though. Shit tons of speed holes of course. Then I think I'm gonna ride it for a minute, then sell it.

Good to hear it all works mate! Sounds like what I did with my CBR250R - fix, ride, sell, profit.

Dude........good karma?

I say keep it and tool around on it until the prices go up for the spring/summer.

Swaps, that needs a Vetter, some hardbags and 5000watts of neon lighting with an airbrushed bear snarling on the gas tank.
And a stereo.

And a cooler.

And tassels on the grips!

Ha ha, I think you have me confused with Joe... Bwah-hahahahahahaa!

yeah the wiring on older Suzukis is actually worse than Lucas. I think the sheathing is semipermeable, every time I check a wire it is green on my GS. When I got my GS I replaced hot wires going to the coils, they were broken. Then while turning the bike around in my car port the turn sigs stopped working. Yup broke another wire. As for a tank I used to have a tank that was a direct fit, but half of it is now my seat cowl. The hand controls like to corrode too, but are extremely easy to clean and rebuild.

So I think I've decided to use a T500 tank I have. It is far from fitting, so I plan on making a fuel cell and then removing the whole tunnel of the T500 tank and just using it as a shell. Should be fun, as I've never made a fuel cell before. And it should keep people guesing as to how I got the tank to fit.

This wasnt going to be a huge project. But some how it seems completely unavoidable. As it is so F'ing hideious as is.

So wait... you got this AND a xs750 today?

When you're ready to sell it let me know. A buddy of mine is looking for a bike. He wants something above 500cc but if the price is right, it may work for him.
