Greeting from sweden!

Hi everyone!

After months of lurking I finally decided tp take the step and register at this fine piece of interweb heaven ;D
I'm from sweden, 20 years old (young?) and recently bought my first bike, a 1971 cb450, it's actually in really nice running condition but haven't been driven for 22(!!!) years. Figured I'd give it a slight caffeine injection sometime soon, but since I havent even got my license yet (working on it), theres really no hurry to get it done.
But more about my ride when the project starts, I will be sure to post it here when that time comes.

I have only been into cafés for about 6-7 months or so, before that I always wanted like a flat black bobber, but then I saw an gorgeous 1972 cb500 café sitting in the local showroom and I fell in love, tried to buy it on several occasions, but they kept telling me it had already been sold :'(
Funny thing is, I went there the other day and it's still there, still for sale, makes me kinda mad

But on the other hand, if I had bought the 500 I wouldn't have had the chance to get my 450, which was much cheaper (as in three times as cheap!) and not an already done caféracer. Totally perfect since I love customizing things after my own twisted ideas.

I have customized a shitload of mopeds and such in my life, so I'm no total newb when it comes to fabbing and such, but I'm no pro either.

Shit, this became a bit longer of an introduction than I intended :p

Thats all from me for now.
Cheers everyone, and keep up the good work!

Welcome to the madness!

Just curious, was the 500 a twin or inline four? Be sure to post plenty of pics of the bikes - we thrive on them.

Thanks!

The 500 was a four, but I always had a softspot for twins, so my 450 wasn't a bad second choice.

Will do, I always forget to take pictures when I'm building stuff, but I'll do my best to remember!
